Why do fools fall in love?
Posted:11:41 PM (Manila Time) | Mar. 22, 2003
By Anne A. Jambora
Inquirer News Service

AH, THE things you do for love.

A co-worker recalls writing a poem for her ex, having it published in the
school paper, informing him about it, then brazenly reading the poem aloud
to him with his current girl present.

Another says his friend painted on the national highway the words "I love
you, [girl's name]," guarding the large scribble with his dear life till
the wee hours of the morning by rerouting vehicles that might run over his
still wet proclamation.

How utterly shameless some people can get! But win or lose it's worth the
risk, they say, rather than spend the rest of their lives wondering what
would have been.

And so on a sunny Friday, the last day of the love month, a guy named Chad
called Magic 89.9 to join the radio station's "He Loves Me, She Loves Me
Not" contest. Bennii, the DJ on board, was screening callers for the swag
portion.

"This guy was just too good to pass up. He came to the Philippines to
surprise his girlfriend with a proposal," Bennii recalls.

Before going on the air, Bennii took Chad's girlfriend's number, called her
(Binky), introduced himself and pretended he got her number from a
fishbowl, told her she won passes to a spa, and would she hold the line for
a few minutes before going on air? The punchline for the show was to whom
Binky would give the other pass.

Chad went on air first and told his love story. Born and raised in the
United States, he hooked up with Binky two years ago when his family
visited the country for a vacation.

They were together for only a short time, but Chad felt a connection with
her which led to chatting online, exchanging e-mail and burning phone
lines.

Call it love at first sight, but Chad unabashedly confessed Binky was the
one for him-after all, one would know when one met the right person.

Sweet guy, that Chad, and for a moment listeners believed true love could
still thrive in this crazy world.

Before going off the air, Chad informed Bennii that Binky might give the
extra pass to her mother or sister since she didn't know he was in the
Philippines.

Then came Binky's turn. After making her believe in the fishbowl story,
Bennii popped the question: To whom would she give the other pass?

Binky: Umm... Secret! I have somebody in mind, but I don't think I should
say it on air. (Giggles)

Bennii: Why not?

Binky: Umm... It's so out there... Should I even...?

Bennii: Sure!... What have you got to lose?

Binky: I have two people in mind, but one is not here anyway. So I guess
I'll give it na lang to my husband.

Bennii: To... To... To your husband? (Surprised)

Binky: Yeah. Why?

Bennii: Your husband.

Binky: I won't say his name na lang.

Bennii: You won't say his name... Your husband... I don't know how to put
this, but if you listened... I sort of alluded that there's somebody with
me that's-

Binky: Somebody gave you my number, or did you find my name in a fishbowl?

Bennii: Actually, Chad submitted it to us. I've had Chad-

Binky: Chad? (Shocked)

Out of the frying pan and into the fire. What followed was an exchange
between an obviously hurt, angry and humiliated Chad and the surprised,
stammering and nervous laughter of Binky.

Chad: Your husband?

Binky: Hello, Chad?

Chad: Binky? Binky? What are you talking about? Your husband?

Binky: Umm... Umm... Chad from the Internet, right?

Chad: Are you listening to me?... What do you mean your husband? I'm your
boyfriend! I'm right here in the Philippines to ask you to marry me!

Binky: Oh my... Oh my God!

Chad: You just made a fool... I just made a fool of myself! I'm like...
Your husband?... What do you mean your husband?... What...?... Binky?

Binky: Umm... Umm... I think I have to go now... Bye, bye, bye, bye, bye!

Soon after, the booth's phones rang every three seconds.

"People were asking for Chad's and Binky's numbers. I haven't had that many
callers since [I started]," the DJ says.

In fact, Bennii received text messages on his cell phone until 3 a.m. the
following day.

Text messages poured into Magic's website, e-mails from around the globe
filled its inbox, and people couldn't stop talking about it for weeks. (As
of this interview, two weeks after the incident, Bennii says Magic still
gets inquiries.)

Yes, siree, most of the feedback was from women. Lest you think it's
another sign of women on the verge of desperation to snatch a man, Bennii
says most of them just wanted to extend their sympathies to Chad and beat
the hell out of Binky.

Feedback samples: "I pity the guy. Shame on Binky!" "I feel sorry for the
guy. He sounded like he was so in love with the girl." "Just wanna
sympathize with Chad because the same thing happened to me last week."

"[If anything], it shows that women are getting smarter," Bennii says.
"Fifteen, 20 years ago, they were the ones this was happening to."

"One girl called: 'I wanna know Chad 'cuz he sounds like he's really cute.'
That wasn't desperation. That was genuine," Bennii says.

One caller even said: "I'm thinking about moving to the States. I wanna
marry this guy."

As for Binky, she may or may not know it, but she has been receiving
expletives from listeners, enough to rival the 2003 Comprehensive
Invectives Dictionary.

"What a f----ing b--ch!" says one caller. "Slut!" "Two-timing b--ch!"
"Whore!"

Guys who called in for Binky's number "merely wanted to f--k her brains
out, nothing more," says Bennii.

Some reactions were funny: "We heard what happened to Chad and Binky. Can
we just have their spa tickets? I'm getting married next month"; "Galing ng
bistohan, pare! Muntikan na akong mabangga sa shock at sa katatawa!"

Off with her head!

Some men did feel sorry for Chad, too. A caller said the same thing
happened to him, except that Chad was foolish enough to let it happen to
him on air.

An e-mail from a male listener in Dubai said if something like that
happened in Dubai, the woman could have her head cut off.

Then there were those who were angry at Chad. A text read: "That guy Chad
is stupid naman pala. Tanga pala 'yun, nag-propose eh may asawa na. On air
pa kahihiyan n'ya!" "The guy's a sore loser!" "The guy is stupid. He
doesn't know his girl!"

And, yes, one or two criticized Bennii for not cutting the episode. "What
time are you getting off work?" a lady listener asked Bennii. "I'm coming
over to give you a piece of my mind." But other than that, the listening
population gave their all-out support to Bennii.

During Chad and Binky's exchange, Bennii had cut himself from the
conversation, turned off his mike and put his hands over his face: "God,
what have I done?" He listened to the tape for one week straight to get it
out of his system.

"Poor, poor, Chad. He was so convinced Binky was his girl. I hope someday
he'll realize that it's not his fault," Bennii says.

All is fair in love and war, or so they say. Say that to a broken man
licking his wounds and you'll get a thrashing to put a professional
dominatrix to shame.

The Chinese philosopher Confucius once said what doesn't kill you makes you
stronger. But author Beverly D'Onofrio says it better: "What doesn't kill
you... makes you wanna die!"

THE DAGOHOY STORY
>
> It was the first day of school in Washington, DC and
> a new student name Dagohoy, the son of a Filipino
> immigrant, entered the fourth grade.
>
> The teacher began, "Let's review some American
> history, class. Who said 'Give me liberty or give me
> death?'" She saw a sea of blank faces, except for
> Dagohoy's who had his hand up, "Patrick Henry,
> 1775." "Very good," said the teacher.
>
> "Who said 'Government of the people, by the people,
> and for the people shall not perish from the earth'"?
> Again, no response except from Dagohoy: "Abraham
> Lincoln, Gettysburg, 1863," he said.
>
> The teacher snaps at the class, "Class, you should
> be ashamed, Dagohoy who is new to our country knows
> more about our history than you do."
>
> She hears a loud whisper from the back: "Screw the
> Filipinos." "Who said that?" she demanded. Dagohoy
> put his hand up. "General John Pershing, Manila,
> 1896."
>
> At that point, Jack, another student says, "I'm
> going to puke."
>
> The teacher glares and asks, "All right! Now who
> said that?" Again Dagohoy answers, "George Bush, Sr.
> to the Japanese Prime Minister during the state
> dinner, Tokyo, 1991."
>
> Now furious another student yells, "Oh yeah? Suck
> this!!" Dagohoy jumps out of his chair waving his

> voice, "Bill Clinton to Monica Lewinsky, the Oval
> Office, 1997!!"
>
> Someone shouts, "You little shit if you say anything
> else, I'll kill you." Dagohoy yells, "Congressman
> Gary Condit to Chandra Levy,
> Washington, D.C., 2001!"
>
> The teacher faints. "I'm outta here!" mutters one
> student as he sidles to the door. "President Gloria
> Macapagal Arroyo, Baguio City, December 30, 2002!!"
> Dagohoy responds.
>
> As the class gathers around her on the floor,
> someone says, "Oh shit, now we're really in big
> trouble!"
> "Saddam Hussein, on the Iraq invasion, Bhagdad, May
> 2003!" Dagohoy bellowed.
>
> "Now, I really have to run," Jack mutters, heading
> for the exit., "Gloria Macapagal Arroyo again,

this is sad..... =(

August 23, Saturday, 11:30 pm, at a party

"Come on, I know you still love him. I can actually see it in your eyes."

"Hindi ah. Friends lang kami. Nothing more, nothing less."

"Hah, yeah, right. We'll see," she then took off towards the punch bowl
leaving me in the corner.

Seeing me alone, he grabbed the opportunity. He walked towards me, maybe to
have a little chat. Hopefully, little chat only.

"So, friend of the host or relative?"

"Actually, friend of the friend of the host. And you?"

"Friend," he said then gulped his beer in a cup empty. "You never replied
to my messages."

"I was busy," I answered. "I never really thought I'd see you here."

"So did I." Then a long pause.

I never was speechless around guys. But this time, I was speechless.
Whenever I tried to speak, no words came out.

"Wanna dance?" he said, breaking the silence.

"Actually, I'm waiting for my?" then I looked for my friend and saw her
grinding with a guy I know she just met. "Sure," I said.

He was a great dancer. He was graceful. Then a slow song was played. Before
I could leave the dance floor, he grabbed my waist and held me close to his
muscular chest. I can actually feel his heart beating, slowly breathing, as
if he had been anticipating for this moment. From the corner of my eye, I
saw my friend smiling, winking and giving me the thumbs up. I just smiled
an awkwardly. I'm not sure what was I feeling. Sure, I like the guy but
this is wrong. This is so wrong. But it feels so right.

"How's Bea?" I asked.

"We broke up. Just this morning."

I was stunned. Shocked. I tried to push away from him but he still held my
waist tight. What have I done?

************************

August 8, Friday, 7:00 pm, Libis

After watching a movie, Cate and I decided to drop by at Libis, watch the
crowd and maybe chill out. Then I saw him with Bea.

"Let's get out of here. I just saw Bea with Ron." I hid my face with my bag
then rushed toward the exit.

"So, Bea and Ron's a couple now?" Yvonne asked.

"Yeah, didn't I tell you? I think nearly a year now. Just found out three
months ago, before she moved in with him." I said casually.

"The hell you allowed her to do that?!! He was your ultimate crush for ?
what? ? 5 years now? You practically built a shrine because of your
obsession with him! Didn't she know that?" Cate shouted.

"Yeah, but it's ok."

"Yeah, it's ok but are you?"

*************************

August 9, 2:00 pm, in my room

I liked Hana's Eyes by Maksim Mrvsca. It never fails to move me. Now, I
hear my cell phone beeping, I have to move and get my phone on the table.

"i saw u lst nte. i was abt 2 cal u bt u lft. hw r u? bn a lng tme nw." It
was Ron.

Why is he texting me? That's weird.

"Hv 2 go smwr. M fyn, tnx.Ü hw r u & bea? Adjstng well lving wd hr?" I
replied.

"wr ok I ges. hrd 2 gt usd 2 hr. she hv 2 hv music b4 goin 2 slp and m nt
usd 2 dt. Asyd frm dt wr ok. hws ryan?"

"Hahaha.Ü Ryan & i brke up lng tym ago.Ü hes past nw. M nw on d luk out.
Knw any1?Ü"

"hw abt me?Ü"

What the??

Now I can't stop moving.

***************************

August 20, Wednesday, 9:00 pm, Greenbelt 3 park

"Makulit ka noh?" I said, while sipping my hot chocolate at Starbucks. For
the rest of the week, he kept on texting me, asking me out, just for a cup
of coffee, or hot chocolate for that matter. He just wanted to see me.
Wanted to talk to me. "O bakit? Bakit gusto mo ako makita?" I asked.

"Wala lang. Miss lang kita. Musta ka na?"

I found it very comfortable talking to him. We talked about anything under
the sun. I was sharing my views, my opinions and so was he. We talked about
past relationships, his present and my blurred future.

The moon was full and it was very romantic. It was romantic to stroll
around the park with Ron. If only he wasn't attached with Bea.

"Vera, I was serious," he said, pertaining about his text. He looked at me
straight in the eyes. There must be something with the full moon that he
pulled me closer to him, and our lips touched. I was surprised, tried to
fight but I can't. His lips were soft, wet and tender. The kiss was mild.
It was a kiss I've been waiting for. I couldn't resist his taste. I felt I
was in heaven. Pure bliss. Back then, I only imagined being kissed by Ron
and now, it's happening and it was better than I have imagined. I felt his
tongue moving in my mouth, softly caressing my teeth, massaging my tongue
and simply exchanging energy through the kiss ? that wonderful kiss.

But then I saw Bea in my mind. I pushed away from him.

"I'm sorry but this is wrong. I have to go home. Thanks for the night," I
said then turned my back on him and ran away as fast as I could, with tears
running down on my face.

************************

So while slow-dancing on the dance floor, telling me that he just broke up
with Bea, my head was spinning. I can't think straight. I pulled away from
him.

"I have to go. Sorry," I said. I ran before he could grab my arm.

"Vera, you're not leaving me again, are you?" But I did.

I texted Cate, said that I had to leave earlier than expected.

I arrived at home at 2 in the morning. I needed time to relax and think
alone. I slowly crept inside the house, not making a noise. Ah, my
sanctuary. But it isn't my sanctuary anymore. Everywhere I go, I still
remember him, his grip, his kiss. I love him. I really love him. But I
can't hurt Bea. I just can't.

I went inside my room hearing Maksim's Hana's Eyes. I cried silently trying
not to wake my sister, Bea.
LOTUS TOTUS-pretty good advice

There's some mighty fine advice in these words, even if you're not
superstitious. This Lotus Totus has been sent to you for good luck
from the Anthony Robbins organization. It has been sent around the
world ten times so far. You will receive good luck within four days of
relaying this Lotus Totus.

Do not keep this message.

The Lotus Totus must leave your hands in 6 MINUTES. Otherwise you
will get a very unpleasant surprise. This is true, even if you are not
superstitious, agnostic, or otherwise faith impaired.

ONE. Give people more than they expect and do it cheerfully.

TWO. Marry a man/woman you love to talk to. As you get older, their
conversational skills will be as important as any other.

THREE. Don't believe all you hear, spend all you have or sleep all
you want.

FOUR. When you say, "I love you," mean it.

FIVE. When you say, "I'm sorry," look the person in the eye.

SIX. Be engaged at least six months before you get married.

SEVEN. Believe in love at first sight.

EIGHT. Never laugh at anyone's dreams. People who don't have dreams
don't have much.

NINE. Love deeply and passionately. You might get hurt but it's the
only way to live life completely.

TEN. In disagreements, fight fairly. No name calling.

ELEVEN. Don't judge people by their relatives

TWELVE. Talk slowly but think quickly.

THIRTEEN. When someone asks you a question you don't want to answer, smile and ask, "Why do you want to know?"

FOURTEEN. Remember that great love and great achievements involve
great risk.

FIFTEEN. Say "bless you" when you hear someone sneeze.

SIXTEEN. When you lose, don't lose the lesson

SEVENTEEN. Remember the three R's: Respect for self; Respect for
others; and Responsibility for all your actions.

EIGHTEEN. Don't let a little dispute injure a great friendship.

NINETEEN. When you realize you've made a mistake, take immediate
steps to correct it.

TWENTY. Smile when picking up the phone. The caller will hear it in
your voice.

TWENTY-ONE. Spend some time alone.

Now, here's the FUN part!

Send this to at least 5 people and your life will improve.

1-4 people: Your life will improve slightly.

5-9 people: Your life will improve to your liking.

9-14 people: You will have at least 5 surprises in the next 3 weeks

15 and above: Your life will improve drastically and everything you
ever dreamed of will begin to take shape.

A true friend is someone who reaches for your hand and touches your
heart

Orange 3D Cold &Allergy Cherry (Pink) 3D Cold &Cough Berry 3D Cough Relief Yellow 3D Expectorant

They are asking you to call them at 800-548-3708 with the lot number on the box so they can send you postage for you to send it back to them, and they will also issue you a refund.

If you know of anyone else with small children, PLEASE PASS THIS ON.

Phenylpropanolamine (PPA) Information Page

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) is taking steps to remove phenylpropanolamine (PPA) from all drug products and has requested that all drug companies discontinue marketing products containing PPA. In addition, FDA has issued a public health advisory concerning phenylpropanolamine. This drug is an ingredient that was used in many over-the-counter (OTC) and prescription cough and cold medications as a decongestant and in OTC weight loss products.

In response to the request made by FDA in November 2000, many companies have voluntarily reformulated and are continuing to reformulate their products to exclude PPA while FDA proceeds with the regulatory process necessary to remove PPA from the market.

We have received numerous requests for a list of products containing PPA. Since companies continue to reformulate their products, FDA is not maintaining a comprehensive, updated list of products that still contain PPA. FDA is aware of emails circulating widely that list many products allegedly containing PPA. These emails, however, generally contain dated and inaccurate information and should be ignored.

The FDA recommends that consumers read the labels of OTC drug products to determine if the product contains PPA. The Agency believes this to be the most accurate method for determining the PPA content of OTC products rather than providing an incomplete or out-of-date list of products that may have already been reformulated and no longer contain PPA. (Introduction updated 03/07/03)

Scientists at Yale University School of Medicine recently issued a report entitled "Phenylpropanolamine & Risk of Hemorrhagic Stroke: Final Report of the Hemorrhagic Stroke Project." This study reports that taking PPA increases the risk of hemorrhagic stroke (bleeding into the brain or into tissue surrounding the brain) in women. Men may also be at risk. Although the risk of hemorrhagic stroke is very low, FDA recommends that consumers not use any products that contain PPA.

FDA's Nonprescription Drugs Advisory Committee recently discussed this Yale study along with additional information on phenylpropanolamine. The Advisory Committee determined that there is an association between PPA and hemorrhagic stroke. It recommended that PPA be considered not safe for over-the-counter use.

ATTENTION!!!!!!!!

For the females, article is self-explanatory. For the males among you,
please pass on to wives, daughters, friends, etc.

Something that happened in Katipunan, QC

Dear friends,

Many of you may not have heard of the incident that happened to a friend of
my son last week at about 6:30 pm right in-front of the thickly-populated
area of BPI-Katipunan, near shoppersville. She parked her car right in front
of BPI to make a withdrawal and to do some grocery.

As she was getting into her car after doing her chores, a man suddenly
appeared beside her and tried to bully her into moving to the passenger
seat. when she pressed her car horn to call attention, he pushed her in the
car ad pinned her down with his elbow on her neck. It was a good thing that
she had the presence of mind to continue to struggle and press on her car
horn to catch attention (even if she had to use her foot to do this). Her
assailant even tried to make people believe that it was a domestic matter by
telling the crowd not to get involved as it was a "private matter".

But with the onlookers multiplying by the second, her assailant finally gave
up and ran. that was when she stood up and shouted for help. Thank God the
guy got caught and is now under police custody. Last Saturday, during the
inquest, she told me that what gave her the guts to fight her assailant was
the article "THROUGH A RAPIST'S EYES" forwarded to our e-groups about a week
prior to her attack. I am re-forwarding the article you can find it at the
bottom of this (e-mail) for everyone's benefit. Please tell your friends,
family, and loved-ones about this. It works.

May I just add that to a certain extent, we have to get ourselves involved
if we see violence being committed on anyone like calling on a security
guard or a police officer even if it appears to be a domestic matter. It
seems that a lot of attackers use that tactic to get away with violence.
Not many people know how to take care of themselves whenfaced with such a
situation. Everyone, please be very, very careful.

THOUGHT THIS WAS GOOD INFO TO PASS ALONG...
======================================
FYI - Through a rapist's eyes!

A group of rapists and date rapists in prison were interviewed on what they
look for in a potential victim and here are some interesting facts:

1] The first thing men look for in a potential victim is hairstyle. They are
most likely to go after a woman with a ponytail, bun, braid or other
hairstyle that can easily be grabbed. They are also likely to go after a
woman with long hair. Women with short hair are not common targets.

2] The second thing men look for is clothing. They will look for women whose
clothing is easy to remove quickly. Many of them carry scissors around to
cut clothing.

3] They also look for women on their cell phone, searching through their
purse or doing other activities while walking because they are off guard and
can be easily overpowered.

4] The number one place women are abducted from/attacked at is grocery store
parking lots.

5] Number two is office parking lots/garages.

6] Number three is public restrooms.

7] The thing about these men is that they are looking to grab a woman and
quickly move her to a second location where they don't have to worry about
getting caught.

8] If you put up any kind of a fight at all, they get discouraged because it
only takes a minute or two for them to realize that going after you isn't
worth it because it will be time-consuming.

9] These men said they would not pick on women who have umbrellas, or other
similar objects that can be used from a distance, in their hands.

10] Keys are not a deterrent because you have to get really close to the
attacker to use them as a weapon. So, the idea is to convince these guys
you're not worth it.

=========================================

POINTS THAT WE SHOULD REMEMBER:

1] If someone is following behind you on a street or in a garage or with you
in an elevator or stairwell, look them in the face and ask them a question,
like what time is it, or make general small talk: I can't believe it is so
cold out here, we're in for a bad winter. Now that you've seen their faces
and could identify them in a line-up, you lose appeal as a target.

2] If someone is coming toward you, hold out your hands in front of you and
yell Stop or Stay back! Most of the rapists this man talked to said they'd
leave a woman alone if she yelled or showed that she would not be afraid to
fight back. Again, they are looking for an EASY target.

3] If you carry pepper spray (this instructor was a huge advocate of it and
carries it with him wherever he goes,) yelling I HAVE PEPPER SPRAY and
holding it out will be a deterrent.

4] If someone grabs you, you can't beat them with strength but you can do it
by outsmarting them. If you are grabbed around the waist from behind, pinch
the attacker either under the arm between the elbow and
armpit or in the upper inner thigh - HARD. One woman in a class this guy
taught told him she used the underarm pinch on a guy who was trying to date
rape her and was so upset she broke through the skin and tore out muscle
strands the guy needed stitches. Try inching yourself in those places as
hard as you can stand it; it really hurts.

5] After the initial hit, always go for the groin. I know from a
particularly unfortunate experience that if you slap a guy's parts it is
extremely painful. You might think that you'll anger the guy and make him
want to hurt you more, but the thing these rapists told our instructor is
that they want a woman who will not cause him a lot of trouble. Start
causing trouble, and he's out of there.

6] When the guy puts his hands up to you, grab his first two fingers and
bend them back as far as possible with as much pressure pushing down on them
as possible. The instructor did it to me without using much pressure, and I
ended up on my knees and both knuckles cracked audibly.

7] Of course the things we always hear still apply. Always be aware of your
surroundings, take someone with you if you can and if you see any odd
behavior, don't dismiss it, go with your instincts. You may feel a little
silly at the time, but you'd feel much worse if the guy really was trouble.

FINALLY, PLEASE REMEMBER THESE AS WELL ....

I know you are smart enough to know these pointers but there will be some,
where you will go "hmm I must remember that"

After reading, forward it to someone you care about, never hurts to be
careful in this crazy world we live in.

1. Tip from Tae Kwon Do: The elbow is the strongest point on your body. If
you are close enough to use it, do!

2. Learned this from a tourist guide to New Orleans: if a robber asks for
your wallet and/or purse, DO NOT HAND IT TO HIM. Toss it away from you....
chances are that he is more interested in your wallet and/or purse than you
and he will go for the wallet/purse. RUN LIKE MAD IN THE OTHER DIRECTION!

3. If you are ever thrown into the trunk of a car: Kick out the back tail
lights and stick your arm out the hole and start waving like crazy. The
driver won't see you but everybody else will. This has saved lives.

4. Women have a tendency to get into their cars after shopping, eating,
working, etc., and just sit (doing their checkbook, or making a list, etc.
DON'T DO THIS! The predator will be watching you, and this is the perfect
opportunity for him to get in on the passenger side, put a gun to your head,
and tell you where to go. AS SOON AS YOU GET INTO YOUR CAR, LOCK THE DOORS
AND LEAVE.

5. A few notes about getting into your car in a parking lot, or parking
garage:

a. Be aware: look around you, look into your car, at the passenger side
floor, and in the back seat.

b. If you are parked next to a big van, enter your car from the passenger
door. Most serial killers attack their victims by pulling them into their
vans while the women are attempting to get into their cars.

c. Look at the car parked on the driver's side of your vehicle, and the
passenger side. If a male is sitting alone in the seat nearest your car, you
may want to walk back into the mall, or work, and get a guard/policeman to
walk you back out. IT IS ALWAYS BETTER TO BE SAFE THAN SORRY. (And better
paranoid than dead.)

6. ALWAYS take the elevator instead of the stairs. (Stairwells are horrible
places to be alone and the perfect crime spot).

7. If the predator has a gun and you are not under his control, ALWAYS RUN!
The predator will only hit you (a running target) 4 in 100 times; and even
then, it most likely WILL NOT be a vital organ. RUN!

8. As women, we are always trying to be sympathetic: STOP IT! It may get
you raped, or killed. Ted Bundy, the serial killer, was a good-looking,
well-educated man, who ALWAYS played on the sympathies of
unsuspecting women. He walked with a cane, or a limp, and often asked "for
help" into his vehicle or with his vehicle, which is when he abducted his
next victim.

I'd like you to forward this to all the women you know. It may save a life.
A candle is not dimmed by lighting another candle. I was going to send this
to the ladies only, but guys, if you love your mothers, wives, sisters,
daughters, etc., you may want to pass it onto them, as well. Send this to
any woman you know that may need to be reminded that the world we live in
as a lot of crazies in it and it's better safe than sorry...

======================================

=========================================
